Little worried about Week 4!

Don't get me started on the scariness of week 5 haha But lets just tackle Week 4!

After spending way too long obese and unhealthy, 7 months ago I decided to get my butt into gear... Since then I've lost 30kgs (66lbs) and walked at least 10K a day to get healthier. For the first time I've felt I can finally start the C25K program, and have made it to week 4 (just ran Week 3 Day 3 yesterday)... and while I was super worried I wouldn't survive 3 minute runs, I did... but now... 3 minute runs and 5 minute runs? Eeeeeep?

How did everyone else find week 4? :)

Hello Mistiism!

You are now getting into the parts of the program where the running segments jump into much longer durations and for sure your resolve will be tested but if you keep your goals in the forefront and push your mind to finish, your body will follow suit. :) You can do it. Keep you head up, try to forget the time and get some good music. If you feel like you cant finish slow your pace down and try that before walking and see if that helps. Thats what helped me when I did it.

Good luck! I hope you keep us posted on your progress.

Hi I was really worried about week 4 as well. I did just what TrishE suggested and slowed my pace right down when I began to struggle. I also kept telling myself that I could do it and wouldn't give up. Two things made a massive difference for me. One was getting proper running shoes and the other was working on my breathing. I did week 5 day 1 and made it through all the 5 minutes runs and was so proud of myself. Dreading day 3 though

Well I did it!!! I had to Jog slower than normal, but I survived!!! I felt pretty dead after, but I survived!!! I'm gonna hurt tomorrow, but I survived hehe

I have a feeling I might need to repeat a few days in week 5, but right now I know I can make it through week 4!
