RJBoody
So I am in sales for a living. I am always on the road. My company let's us spend $25 a day if it's a day trip and $50 if it's an overnight. They used to allow us to make multiple purchases if the amount was acceded. That was nice because I could grab a protein shake or protein bar, fruit and water for breakfast and than do the the same thing later for lunch. But now they have changed it where they only want us swiping the card once. Since I am on the road for 6-8 hours a day I don't like to stop and eat lunch. I'm looking for tips or ideas on how I can eat healthy using their money and only using my card one time. I need to stock up when I stop, wherever that is. This only using the card once thing is a pain because I want to maximize what they allow us to spend but I'm not sure how to do that and eat healthy. Anyone in a similar situation and have advice? Guest TrishE
Welcome RJBoody Im definitely not in the same situation but it sounds to me like investment in a good cooler you can pack into the car with you would be a good idea. That way you can buy fruits veggies and other healthier options for snacking and meals and not have to worry about only buying things that wont go bad. For protein its tough to find good lean meats that precooked that arent soaked in sodium and other things so greek yogurt and nuts and beans are a good way to get protein. The occasional (or in my instance) more thatst the occasional protein bar or shake is good too just watch your sugar I hope this helps a little. Like I said Im not really in the same situation at all haha

djplong
I know they're not available at this link anymore, but I got a cooler that you can plug in - almost like a portable refrigerator:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003AYX4ZG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 An adapter could have you plug that into the car while you're actually travelling and into the wall when you're in a hotel room. My wife uses this all the time.
KellyAnn
Hi there. That is rough when they only allow you to use he card once. That is a little strange. I absoloutely love love my plug in to the cigarette lighter cooler. The best. We live far enough from town that i plug it in in the way home to keep meat cold. Love it. Let us know how you do.
