jonny h Posted March 21, 2015 Report Share Posted March 21, 2015 39yr male (40 in may) always been active, but slightly over weight, quit smoking a year and a half ago. iv'e never enjoyed running, i think partly because i had not put the effort in to actually give it a go. after staring back at Tae-Kwon-Do after a 18yr break, it was very clear i had no Cardio. a friend on FB was doing a C25K app, so i thought why not .. I'm on week 7 day 3, i have ran two 5k Park run events which is really enjoyable, my last one i did in 26:31"official time" my calf's do hurt a lot after, but i will be doing some hill sprints to strengthen them. after i finish the 5k app i would like to carry on to the 10k too, so that's my goal for the year. if there is anything i would say to someone starting this app, it would be, dont worry about week 5, i found both day 2 and day 3 easier than day 1!!! and to any males out there, we all know about girls needing proper sports bra's, or buying correct shoes .. well two weeks ago i brought some Kalenji boxer shorts, made for runners, i wish i had found them sooner, no thigh rubbing and extremely comfortable, highly recommended! anyway .. big thanks to Zen labs, you are helping to change my life for the better Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
