Gageries
Hey everyone, my name is Gage and i have a few questions. I live in Florida and spring is starting which means it will be warming up, but i think i have the right wear. I have a good pair of nike with the mesh, gym shorts and just a t shirt. I figure this is a basic starter. Anyways, the app says i should run 3 times a week, so i would be exercising every other day, correct? Also, another thing is that i have just recently quit smoking cigarettes, so i figure i should try and take it easy for now. Should i bring a bottle of water, anything? Any feedback would be great, thanks. -Gage
Guest TrishE
Welcome Gage! Yes tshirt and shorts is always a good choice when its warm. Try to get breathable fabric. I know its a pain but clothing made specifically for running is the best because the fabric is sweat wicking an wont rub or cause you to over heat. In the beginning working out every other day is best. A lot of people do strength training on their day off but you certainly dont have to. Bringing a water bottle when its hot out is always a good idea. They make ones that are a little bit easier to carry when you run. I run around the block so I just place mine down next to my drive way. Good luck, I hope this helped a little. We are always here for help and encouragement if need be. I hope you keep us updated on your progress
KellyAnn
TrishE, you give awesome advice. Love it. Welcome here Gage, Your gear sounds perfect. I love to run 3-4 days a week and do other fitness in other days. BIke, hike, lift weights, etc..... You live where it's warm so you will probably run in the mornings when it is cooler. Hapoy you are here. You are doing awesome. Good luck.
