Charlotte
Hey all, so I have started C25k, just wanted to say hi to everyone else on the same mission as me! And see if anyone has any tips/advice to offer. Also do you all run on concrete or grass? I'm on day two so far and have done both on concrete but can feel pain in my hips a bit during and day after. I'm 27 and haven't suffered with this before and i'm new to running so wondered if that was why and il just get used to it! just wanted to see what everyone else finds best? Thanks! Lilian
Hi Charlotte, I'm using the C210K app. When I first started out 9 weeks ago. I started on the treadmill, I have now moved outdoor and run( well plod)on grass and the road. With regards to the pain in your hips, are you stretching and doing a warm up before and after your run? If the pain is in your hips, try doing hip stretches. All the best with your training.

cendorly
I run on a paved trail through a park. I find its more like running an actual 5k. As for the hip pain, definitely stretching before (and after) will help, and perhaps slowing down the jogging portion a little. Make sure you are following proper form - back straight, tuck your core (abs and belly) in, try not to take strides that are too long. If needed, take smaller steps.
