I have ran before, but got pregnant, hady baby and just got out of it, and want to start up again. My goal is to lose 30 lbs. Sweet!!! MyFitnessPal is awesome too. There are lot of people here on there too. I was, but I counted calories for years and now am in on the Fitbit app. There is a group on here that will be your friend on there. It is nice. Anyways. Good luck and ask any questions.
