Guest Amanda
I just started C25K last night and took my poor dog along for the ride. I think he was worse off than I was! Had a great first day and was gearing up for day 2 when I realized that there are only 3 days in week 1 so I guess today is an off day. Any pointers? I haven't worked out for quite a while now and running has never been my thing, but I am training for my first 5k on Sept. 13! Kinda scared but super excited! jvincent78
It is important to have that rest day in between, especially when you are just starting out. That's one of the beauty's of the C25K program, it keeps you from overdoing it and hurting yourself. On those in between days I try to do some weight training or cross train on my mountain bike to keep the calorie burn going. But I must warn you the running gets addictive and it's hard not to run on those rest days!
Timb113
You can also get out there and walk on the off days. The off days are when I take the dog, as she couldn't keep up with my by the end of week two. (That felt really good).
