I just finished week 3 day 2, I walk/jog in my neighborhood. The other day after my jog I clocked it with my car and it's just about 2.25 miles. Im pretty sure as I get further into the program the distance will increase.Right now I'm trying to not worry about distance, and just focus on pacing myself and my breathing. Once I get that down I'm sure I'll be very focused on distance.

Distance is going to depend on your speed. I do think by the end you should be going the entire 5k distance, but if I calculated correctly it is based on a 10 min./mile. So if you are slower than that, you will have to adjust your run time to actually get to 3.1 miles. For example, my regular min/mile is closer to 14, so I need to run approximately 45 mins to actually cover the 5k distance :)

I remember years ago when I was in the best shape of my life ever, I would run an 9 minute mile, those were the days.  I now do about 14 minutes, that is with a run/walk too.  I could do a 5K in 27-30 minutes.  SHEESH RIGHT???  I am older now and I do not think I will ever run that fast again, nor do I want to, but my goal right now is 11-12 minutes.

Weekly, including Hiking, I average around 15-20 miles a week.

Have an awesome day!
