ScreamAndBeFree Posted January 4, 2015 Report Share Posted January 4, 2015 hey all, I used the app for the first time today as I had issues because the voice prompt only worked when my phone was unlocked. I think my settings are correct. Because the voice prompt is on but I can't find anything about it only sounding when the app is open. This gave me issues because I couldn't tell when I was supposed to slow or speed up unless I looked. Makes it tough to get in the zone! Any help would be appreciated. I'm using an iPhone 5c. Brad001 Posted January 7, 2015 Report Share Posted January 7, 2015 Have this problem too... Incredibly frustrating. The app is almost unusable if it can't function after the phone is screen locked. If I'm going on a 30-60 minute run the phone should be able to screen lock and still function.... If the screen isn't locked and you put the phone is your pocket, phantom buttons are accidentally pressed.... I just used my 10k app for a run, I had MapMy Fitness, Spotify and the 10 k app running and they all worked when I ran and i had to keep unlocking my screen to see it. Which phone do you have? I gave the iPhone 6 and the app will only give voice / sound prompts when the screen is not locked or off. Love the program but this is very annoying and a battery waste. Healthylife4me Posted March 4, 2015 Report Share Posted March 4, 2015 It will work. I have an iPhone. You need to turn your volume up. But.... It will only turn up when the voice prompt is talking. Im using an iPhone 6 with iOS 8.2. Once the phone goes to sleep, my music plays fine but all voice prompts stop working. Raising the volume when the voice is speaking did not solve the issue. jennybeans Posted March 23, 2015 Report Share Posted March 23, 2015 Hi there, I had the same problem - I couldn't hear the voice prompts on locked screen. This is how I fixed it on Iphone 6. Go to settings - scroll all the way down to the C25K App - tap on it - tap on the notifications then turn on notifications - make sure sounds is turned on & show in lock screen is turned on.
