I am 47 and am one year out from recovering from orthoscopic knee surgery. I have been working out since January 2017 to strengthen my knee and have come a long way with the flexibility in my knees. I have also been playing softball 3-4 times a week. I have ran in the past years with my furthest being a marathon in 2011. I am currently training to do a Spartan Race on October 7, 2017 and I'm on day 2. How realistic of a goal is this? My mindset is to face my fears and not limit myself. I believe I can do it but not sure about the running part. I feel good running and feel like I could run longer but I'm going to stick with the program since I will not have to run a full 5K all at once. Wish me luck.
