TNL...two words for you if you're running outdoors in winter...Yak Trax! I have a set because I live in Michigan and hate being indoors on a treadmill. Best investment in running equipment I've made (yes, even better than my shoes, although, not by much.) Not once have I felt unsure about my footing with them on my shoes. You can find them at most sporting goods stores and online for about $40. Good luck with the knee. I hope you recover quickly and can get back out there soon!
