  1. Maybe your running a little too fast? Could you try slowing down your pace, which in turn will bring down your heart rate. Find a pace where you can finish the runs, achieve the 10k goal and work on speed after?
  2. Hi, I don't think the app shows distance, but there are apps out there that work alongside c25k. I use runtastic (which displays distance ran) alongside c25k with no problems at all.
  3. There is also barefoot running ( minimalistic shoes. I use the Vibram five fingers ) Ive paid out for trainers, physio and custom orthotics in the past and suffered for years with shin pain and could never make any real progress with running, it simply was not enjoyable. This is the reason I'm using the c25k program to slowly build up the calf muscles (got an event in may) as I've had a year out from running. They take quite a beating when your landing on the balls of your feet. However, this style of running and shoes are the only way I'm able to run pain free. That and It feels great.
  4. Hi all, Working through the c25k, and am really enjoying it. My goal is complete 10k injury free. Once the 5k program is complete, will the 10k app follow on from this or am i better just starting the 10k program from the start? Anyone know? Thanks Jim
