Tomorrow who is starting day 1 with me 3/14/21

Recommended Posts

Tomorrow March 14, 2021 I’m staring Day 1. I would love to start running with some of you. I live in SW Florida between Sarasota and Fort Myers. When I was younger I tore my ACL and meniscus. I’m a little worried about running again but will give it a go.

I would love to run a 5K at the end of this and hopefully meet some of you racing! I’m so happy and grateful and hope to continue to check-in with my progress. Much love to all you runners!

I completed Day 1. It was harder than I thought it would be. I was out of breath after the first run and only caught my breath towards the warm down. I have t been this out of shape ever.

Now I hope someone started today and will help me stay motivated.

Do I skip tomorrow and then run on Tuesday? Did you find it best to run every other day?

I’m going to watch the Grammy’s and enjoy my ice cold water!!!

Hi, how are you doing with the program now that it’s been a few days? I usually run every other day to give my muscles and ligaments a chance to recover. This helps ease me back into running so that I’m never really sore. Also, running ridiculously slow in the beginning helps me get through the challenging days. Speed will come as you build up your strength and endurance- nothing wrong with taking things slow until that happens. Good luck!

Thank you! Just started Week 2 Day 1.

I’m breathing much better and running much stronger. I am grateful I can play my music with another app and they both work together. I got a phone call though and it knocked out the c25k and I had to reboot. Also sometimes it shows me the calories burned and distance ran but not all the time. :)

3/28/2021 - I started this program last year before COVID and fell off due to depression and single mom life. I had the goal of being able to complete a runDisney half marathon. Somewhere along the way, I lost sight of it. But I'm here now giving it an honest try back at day 1. I'd be happy with just running a mile straight and not being completely winded. But in the long term, it's my mission to get my medal.
