My Why & Goal for 2018

I started my health & wellness journey just over a year ago as I was sick & tired of being sick & tired. In Sept I finally felt ready to commit to working out (and as both my boys were moving on & out I needed to get my strength back to help with chores on the ranch). Fast forward to 2 1/2 weeks ago -- I came across a FB post for a 5/10 K run at the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) Training Academy where my son is currently in training. Now understand that I do NOT run - never have - thought those who did were crazy LOL - but in my craziness thought "I can do this with my son - sure I can" so we signed up! Someone suggested to me the C25K app and I am starting week 3 today. I am utilizing the treadmill at the gym right now as Southern Alberta is still snowy and cold but will eventually be able to get outside on the back roads -- which include many hills!! Whether I continue with running after I have completed this challenge is still up in the air but for right now -- I WILL DO THIS (mostly because I'm too stubborn to quit hahahaha). May 12th (Mother's Day) is the date of the run -- wish me luck ;)
