beuosu
I used to play basketball in college but that was five years ago and I've noticed that my weight has been climbing. I don't eat healthy, at all, but in addition to this program I'm committing myself to a cleaner, healthier lifestyle. I've been holding off getting started for the past month or so but decided to start this morning when I realized I have now gained 30 lbs since December. Let's just say I couldn't even finish the workout, I'm trying not to be too discouraged but as someone who was once able to run a mile in 7:30 I feel like I'm not able to get in good shape again. In addition to mental discouragement, I have lower back pains that absolutely kill me. Can anyone offer some advice from their journey to a healthier lifestyle? I'm cutting down junk Food and fast food to just once a week but other than that I'm at a complete loss.
torus_ot
Just stick with the program and you will be running 3 miles in two month! We all started schlepping the first couple weeks. I am sure you will be able to complete the week 1 by slowing down. It is not about the speed, it is about making habit to move! And loosing few pounds will help with the back pain. focus.builders
Hang on, it'll get easier!! Do what you can, but don't over do it! I'm totally not a runner and just completed day 1 yesterday. I've been using the AdvoCare program for over a year to lose weight and feel better and have also been walking as much as possible for about a year. My husband and I have lost 100 lbs together! It's amazing how much better you feel and how much more energy you have when you get some weight off! A year ago, I would have never tried this, but now I know I can!!! I'd love to talk to you anytime!! farrahcbrooks@yahoo.com
Andriiya
Do you typically spend a lot of time sitting down? Your hip flexors might be tight and causing your lower back pain. http://www.stack.com/a/4-hip-flexor-stretches-to-relieve-tight-hips #2 really helped prevent lower back pain for me. Good luck with the program, it's hard, but not impossible! torus_ot
