CarolAnn64
Good morning. I've just completed day 1 run 1.. the dog and I completed it together . Although I walk him daily and swim , I am pretty unfit, overweight and have a chronically bad back . I felt hugely self- conscious this morning. Any tips for overcoming that would be much appreciated . Thankyou Jschaferhess
Jschaferhess
Accept that people notice you running, but also accept they are wishing they too were out there caring for themselves as you are. They aren't judging you, your pace, or how you look exercising. They are judging themselves for not doing so. Jschaferhess
Elesher
You're lapping everyone on the couch! I would love to bring my dog out with me, and I plan to once the weather warms up. She loves long walks (1-2 hours) so I imagine she'll integrate into C25K well! Just remember that your dog may not be used to running either. Keep yourselves both well-hydrated and watch for salt/ice on paws in the winter and hot pavement in the summer. You want your running mate to be with you for the long haul! =)
