Now my coach is saying we are doing even more of it and we could be running a mile 3 times a week at practice. I'm not the best runner and I don't ever have the best time, but my coach wants us to run it in 8 minutes. How can I build myself up to do that without stopping? Erinboberin Posted August 1, 2016 Report Share Posted August 1, 2016 Start with this program and start working your way up in amount of time running without stopping. Also, do some sprints.
