bentanguay
I am on my 2nd week of C25k and around the half way mark today my left calf muscle tightened up on me. I dropped from a run to a walk which eased the pain and walked the rest of the workout. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or suggestions as to why this happenned and possible prevention or solutions to this problem. Many Thanks
torus_ot
1. Get more potassium in your diet (banana?) 2. Too much pace for your current state of fitness or too long stride? 3. Bad shoos or bad technique? 4. Cold muscles (not enough warm-up). .... 99. Your body did not feel like running today Don't be discouraged. Take it easy (pace, stride). If the pain is persistent - take a break from running. bentanguay
anna120
Exactly the same thing happened to me this morning. Started week 2 day 1. Got 10 mins in and my calf seized up. I tried to walk it out but it didn't work. Really bad pain. I was thinking i might repeat wk1d3 tomorrow and then start wk2 again. Better than nothing I suppose. Gonna try using deep heat too. Dr.obbb
I'm having the same problem too (w4d1.) I'm going to try more stretching, more hydration, more warm up. Maybe a banana.
