bendy11
I find it difficult to pick different paces. The app just says "walk" which is pretty obvious, but for "run" I don't know if that means on the side of more of a jog or much faster. Can anyone give me some kind of scope of where I should be or does it really just depend on what I'm capable of?
torus_ot
"It really just depend on what you are capable of... Start with jogging and slow increase the pace. The app is just "schedule", guide to the running. You can do time interval or (if you are more fit) you can do distance. bendy11
Yea, I'm too fit so I'll probably go by the app's help for a while. Most of the running experience I have was short sprints when I ran track in high school so this is quite the change for me, hence the question about pace. Thank you for your help though! I'll just have to feel out what I can do and go from there.
mttkauffman
The way I've been looking at my pace is this. At the end of the 8 weeks it's suppose to be a 5k in 30 minutes which is about a 10 minute mile. So I've been pacing myself there thanks to music. Every time before I attempted to run I would run way too fast and burn myself out after a bit. So this time I made a playlist on Spotify of songs at 150bpm which they say is the best for a 10 minute mile. I just make sure i never run faster than the beat but have ran slower than the beat. Not sure if that helps but it's how I've done my pace over the last 4 weeks.
KitKat
Running to music at 150bph is great advice! Definitely going to try it. Finding the right pace is a huge struggle for me KitKat
