JessiP Posted August 18, 2015 Report Share Posted August 18, 2015 I had a friend who loved to run and would always try to get me to run with him but I couldn't run more than a half mile so I'd always blow it off. My friend passed away very suddenly last month and I've started using this app to build up to running at least a 5k in his honor. My heart is breaking but I'm on week 3 and I ran/walked 3.5 miles in 43 minutes. It's still slow and there's still a lot of walking and many tears but I wanted to say thank you for this app that lets me go at my own pace, building upon the previous week's to help me reach my goal. I miss him but running is cathartic and I'm losing weight too so again, thank you and good luck to everyone with their goals and accomplishments. Im so sorry to hear about your friend but I am glad you've found comfort in running. I wish you the best of luck please keep us posted on your progress!
