"I'm not a runner"

I can say that I've never enjoyed running - EVER!  In Jr. High school they classified me as a short distance runner, but we won't talk about how many years ago that was.  As I get closer to planning for a family I realize how important it is for me to be as healthy as possible.  A friend told me about the C25K program so I took a look.  So far (starting week 2 today) I keep telling myself - I can do anything for 60-90 seconds.  My family has always had an issue with weight and I'm hoping to break that cycle when starting my own family.  My goal run right now is a color run in September.  Here we goooooooo :-D

The past is the past and you cannot change it. But you can control your attitude about running now. Run for you and run for your future health and well being.  Listen to music, work out probelms in your head, enjoy the great outdoors, and get buzzed with the knowledge that you are taking charge of your physical and mental health. It does not matter if you run slow or if you have to repeat a week. You are still faster and farther ahead than the person sitting on the couch. And at the end of the day, the only person you have to satisfy is yourself.
