  1. Hello and thanks for dropping by. I am 55 years young, grandmother of 5 boys and after being diagnosed with Severe Rheumatoid Arthritis made a decision to become fit and healthy. Is no easy feat however, but I have lost over 20lbs and try my best to workout 4/5 days a week. On Feb 23rd made the decision to quit smoking after 42 years. It has not been so bad and I am happy to say today is 18 days smoke free. I am so excited that beginning Monday I am going to train for my 1st 5K. Granted I never ran a day in my life, other than as a child lol.... so this journey is going to be amazing.. Any advise will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  2. Hi. A little background. I'm 48, disabled with RA, Lupus, degenerative disc disease. Several knee surgeries, 2 lower back, 1 cervical spine last September. In 2014 I lost 80# following a ketogenic woe, and have kept it off. I'm hoping my body can tolerate this, and I'm really hoping for some energy. I'm exhausted every day due to my health issues. I take care of 2 sets of aging parents, husband, grown kids when needed, it's time to take care of me! For the first time in my life. I'm an RN and taking care of everyone else is what I do! Love the support I see here. I think I'm going to need it. Sorry so long, thanks for listening!
