  1. 1 Corinthians 4:9. hey to whoever reads. I’m Caseley. 28 year old female. Getting back into fitness again as a former collegiate athlete. I’ve quickly learned my body is not the same as it was when I was 18. I’ve overcome a lot of surgeries which has struck down my faith and physical abilities more times than I can count. But here I am, showing up and getting back on the grind. (Definitely want to do it the right way). Looking forward to getting back on the pavement and connecting with others. Caseley
  2. Hello all, I am looking for advice and help that anybody is willing to give. I am former collegiate soccer player, I’m trying to get back into running and getting back into shape. It’s been about 8 years since I’ve had any hardcore and consistent workouts. Mostly due to having many surgeries every year for 7 of them. I broke my back and have 2 screws and 2 hooks in my L3/4. Snapped my left Achilles, total repair. Torn my ACL twice in my right knee along with the meniscus. And 2 years ago, I had my right hip reconstructed. And then penciled in two lung surgeries. Amazingly enough, I have zero limitations according to the doctor and have full function in all areas. I have continuously fought to come back and or attempted to get back into the gym multiple times. But every time I start, I think I go too hard too soon, and my body just doesn’t respond the same way anymore. I still am really active, I joined CrossFit and did really well. I still have a lot of muscle and my muscle memory is still pretty good. I’ve started back up with weight training, and body weight exercises. But cardio and running specifically has been the hardest thing for me to get back into. I don’t know where to start or how to start. Mental battle is the biggest challenge but I believe if I have some guidelines to follow and a plan, I know I can do this. So if there are any other runners out there with this kind of experience or anybody just willing to give advice I would welcome all! Appreciate your time reading this! Caseley
