  1. I have a pain in my lower calves when I'm running and make it through only the 1st of 6 runs. I start to run each of the other 5 but I don't make it to the beep I'm wearing compression and stretching before. I wonder if I needed a slower pace program. I'm getting discouraged.
  2. I repeated week 1 for the last 4 weeks. At least now it's just my calfs aching and shins have stopped causing me pain. I'm 54 and have never run in my life and I have about 40lbs to lose. Should I go onto day 2 on Thursday or keep repeating day 1 till I get through it? I think this program is going to take me a year to get through.

  4. I just finished week 1. It took me 3 weeks to get through it. I ordered leg compression sleeves from Amazon for about $10 for 2 pair and use them during and all day of the 'really slow jog'... can't call it a run yet. It's a big difference.
  5. I'm not in your area but I too have 40lbs to lose by my November birthday! I just got done with week 1 day 3 today. I'm in Dallas.
  6. If I have 1 min left to live, I hope it feels as long as that first minute of jogging today. I barely made it through the first of 8 but each time the lady said start running, I tried till I had to go back to walking. I've never ever been a runner but I was a gymnast about 40 years ago and was about 10lbs overweight but in ok shape before a very freak accident that nearly killed me 4 years ago. I gained 40lbs and I think my arms now classify as legs due to their girth and I have rolls that I'm hoping will fall off in the next 8 weeks. My question is.... does the 1 min time start wh
