  1. By the time you get to the end of week 3 if you went back and did the week 1 runs again you would think they were a breeze! It's amazing how quickly you will improve if you keep running regularly.
  2. It's not a race and don't be disheartened if you feel you're slow. For me it's all about building up the stamina to run for a reasonable distance and then I can worry about improving my speed. I was training for a 10k a couple of years ago and had to take a few months out with a bad back and was so disheartened when I started again but I built up gradually and got there eventually.
