  1. I was a runner in high school and was told I was an overpronator. I tried New Balance and Saucony running shoes but was always in the worst pain. Eventually found myself wearing ASICS and have been wearing them since. I use the Gel Kahana because of the extra support. Go to a runner's shoe store (there was one I always went to called A Snail's Pace; not sure if they are in other states/cities). They can look at the way you walk and run, see your strike, and make recommendations on shoes. Wear what's comfortable.
  2. Hi! I'm 26 years old and used to be a long distance runner all during high school. I'm trying to get back in shape and lose some weight just because this is the heaviest I've ever been in my entire life (I also want to be at a healthy weight because my husband and I want to plan for a baby). Just completed week 1 day 1, and it definitely was not as hard as I was telling myself it was going to be! Hoping my muscle memory kicks in and my stamina comes back quickly!!
