  1. I just finished the program, and I feel like that at least 3 times a week! It would be so much easier just to give up. But, I know if I do, I'll be right back where I was when I decided to start. Overweight, depressed, and disgusted with how out of shape I was. I keep pushing bc I don't want to start at that finish line again. You can do it!!!
  2. Clairey-Lou39...I was curious about how much distance you cover during your run? I just finished the program and signed up for my first 5k. I'm still slow and I'm a little apprehensive about how long it will take to finish.
  3. I have graduated from the C25k program. I'm able to jog 30 minutes without being overly exerted, but I'm super slow. I'm not even hitting the two mile mark in 30 minutes. Usually about 1.7-1.8 miles. I want to try my first 5k in about 30 days. I'm not sure if I'll be able to increase my speed enough by that time though. Any suggestions/advice?
  4. If anyone is about to tackle the dreaded W5D3 run, I want to pay it forward and offer some words of encouragement. I read what others had to say the whole week prior to my first attempt at the 20 minute, no walk break run. I was vey apprehensive about it to say the least. I am in the process of attempting to lose 50 lbs and lead a healthier life style. I made a half hearted attempt at C25K a few years ago and I don't think I made it to week 2. I decided to give it a another try and actually commit to the process. I read all the success stories on here and other forums and decided, if others could do it, so could I. I started week one on 7/20 and thought I would die after the first running segment. But, I didn't! And I kept going, I had to repeat the first day of week 4 (the first 5 minute run) and I thought I would die,,,,but I didn't. So, here I am. I completed W5D3 today!! First attempt!! With diet control and consistent exercise, I've lost 11lbs . It was difficult, but not impossible. I mentally prepared myself for the challenge and had the mindset of, "If I cant do it today, then I will do it tomorrow. If not tomorrow, then the next day...I will do it." Don't give up. Don't be too hard on yourself. You are capable of so much more than you know. Surprise yourself!! I know I did!!
