Just a friendly hello to all of you. My name is Jen, I'm from Colorado and have tried the C5k program before but lack of motivation (and sciatic problems) kept me from being persistent with it. Motivation this time around comes from one of my best friends...in short, her health is in jeopardy and needs to get into shape, so her and I, (and a couple of others) have decided to do it together!
After I get this started within the next few weeks I will be kicking my nasty smoking habit. I want to get into a running regime first so that way I can use it as my release...seems the knitting/crocheting and writing stuff I've tried replacing it with before is not as powerful as I would have liked lol.
I'm fairly healthy though...besides sciatic problems that I've dealt with for almost 20 years from a broken tailbone, I really don't have any excuses not to take this seriously. I may only be 31 years old, but I can feel my sedentary lifestyle has not done anything to benefit me.
