Hi Lainey! Only advice that I can give is to treat your rest days with as much importance as your run days, especially since you are a new runner. You will get the urge to push things a little bit, but this can lead to injury and/or fatigue quickly. Rest is where you get stronger.

Good luck on your upcoming 5K!

Hi Lainey!

Congrats on starting. I finished my C25K session about two weeks ago and have my first 5K on Saturday!

I'm glad to meet another newbie :)

I'd love to hear about how your 8 weeks go. I'm also real glad you are doing it with a friend, so did I and that helped me be way more accountable, even to myself on days she couldn't join. I'd say tend to any injuries/discomfort right away, plan your runs, and stick to them because why not?
