Does anyone else suffer from fibromyalgia? I've had the condition for quite some time. I LOVE working out and getting exercise. But since the condition has gotten so bad I feel completely lost on what I should and shouldn't do for exercise. I love running and strength training. But I'm looking for some tips on where to start. It's like learning to live a whole new life. Thanks in advance everyone.

I have fibro and I find the more consistent I am with my training, the easier it is to manage my symptoms.  I do have days that I just need to rest, but I don't let that go on for more than one day, then I force myself to get back to it.   It's easy for me to sit on the couch, but I have learned to push through it.  I'd rather slow down my workout than not workout at all.  if I can't run or do an intense fitness class, I'll switch to the pool, which makes me feel great!

I have rheumatoid arthritis and I find myself in the same boat as Melissa. I also focus on getting out the door - some days I'm running really slow and not as going as far because of the pain, but at least I'm still moving - so I focus on a pace I can tolerate.
