SI Joint

I've been living for years with pain in my lower right back anytime I'm walking or standing more than 10 minutes. When I'm sitting it's not painful. Recently I was told by a chiropractor that it's likely a problem with my SI Joint. I love running and don't tend to notice the pain as much when I'm out for a run as I do when I'm just walking around. I'm not sure why.. Maybe I run shorter distances than I walk, maybe I'm more distracted, maybe my posture is different during a run..? Even still, I don't want to risk injuring myself further by running. I was wondering if anyone has similar issues or could offer any tips or advice on SI Joint pain and fitness. Thanks in advance :)
