Push Ups are not increasing

I use the Zen Labs 100 Push Ups app. I was stuck on week 5 day 1 for a couple weeks. But I decided to move up to Week 5 Day 2. The last set is 25 push ups. I can not complete 13 push ups. It's difficult for me to complete more than 25 push ups. Should I do a max set until failure every day? Or should I continue to use the app.

Following so I can get an answer as well. I am stuck on W5D1 as well. I can get through until that last set of 40. By the time I get there, it takes everything I've got to even get to 20. I end up doing "girly" pushups from my knees to finish the last 20, and even that is brutal. It's discouraging, but keep at it. That's my plan. Hopefully someone can give us a better answer :)

So I don’t have enough info to make a proper call, but it sounds like your hitting a plateau in your training. Your going to need to kick it up a few notches to blast past your plateau.

what I would recommend doing is trying to go ahead and build some bicep and triceps muscle doing things like curls and bench presses In addition to the pushups

Yes, I was able to do more, but I started at day one. A good way to solidify your foundation

Between week 5 and week 6 is not good plan.  Too much of an increase without increasing the frequency of the foundation.
