So many people have said I can't do this I believe with diet and a correct training program I can . I'll be starting the program (26.2) Monday, 30 May and expect to be in week 1 for 3-4 weeks. I used to run when I was in my 20s, but haven't exercised or run regularly in many years, so I understand your trepidation. I think we have taken the first big step in deciding to get to our feet and do something to improve our lives and our health My goal is to run my first marathon in mid-November. I know it's aggressive, but it's my goal and I fully intend to make it. I won't let anyone convince me otherwise. Best of luck to you. I know you can do it.
