Redmeuk
ok so I'm a 40 male, not massively overweight but not too fit either... I started to eat very healthy and taking up the challenge to loose 1 stone. Cutting down on food isn't going to get me the desired result so started the programme. I opted to run outside and did the week 1 day 1 last Friday. Must admit I struggled on the later runs is this normal..? I've also decided each sat / sun I'm going to do a brisk walk for 5k which apart from a little pain in the shins wasn't too bad... Is there anything else I can do to get my jogging better?? Thx
Guest TrishE
Welcome! Congrats on all your progress to be healthy so far. Running is tough on your body, its an all over workout, especially when you first start. As you get later on in your workout your body is going to get tired so the later run segments will be harder to do then the ones in the beginning. Just keep getting out there and running and your runs will get better as your endurance builds. You can also do strength training on some of your off days. They have some great workouts for runners online. I hope this helps. Best of luck!
