Getting fit in my 40's

Hi Everyone!

 

I'm a 46 year old mom of two. I have just decided to do my second 5k in October. I am so excited and I'm using the c25k app for my phone. My husband is also doing this. I am happy I found this forum and hope to get lots of ideas, inspiration and energy from everyone. I actually enjoy running and hope after this 5k I can work my way up to a 10k and half marathon which is on my bucket list. Anyone else start running in their 40's?

I just started the C25K app...am on week 6....I'm 45, have 6 kids, and haven't run in 20 years!  So....I'm giving it a go!  I decided I needed to challenge myself :)

I'm 58 and started the program a week and a half ago. Loved week 1! But 2 days after my Day 3, my knee "twinges" and I've been limping since.

 

Having an MRI tomorrow. Hope this is nothing big because the training has really been a wonderful boost emotionally and physically!

I'm 56.  I started in July.  I repeated week 2 and week 3 so I could do them better and currently am sidelined from plantar fasciitis.  Can't wait till it clears and then will continue.
