Guest Amy Waninger
I'm a 5k grad and so happy with the c25k program. Two questions: 1. When starting the 10k app, should I start at week 1 or skip to week 9? Question 2: any tips on getting motivated to take on the next level? I'm stuck in a comfort zone of 2-3 miles per day. RMK
I finished the C25K a two weeks before the race I signed up for so ran 5Ks 3x a week for those weeks. I decided the next running day after my race to start the 10 K trainer, but with lower pressure. There were days and even a week that I decided I had too much going on and "only" ran a 5K those days. I just ran 6.2 miles this morning (surprisingly easily) two weeks before I actually got through all the training. The first couple weeks it was tough to run longer, but now I enjoy it. Now that I hit the 10K mark I think I'll run more based on the time I have than the distance I want to get to.
