  1. Finished the programme today and feeling pumped! 2 months ago, it seemed a steep climb to take, but now it's a great feeling to have done it. To people here on this forum il say that if ur fighting pains and a thousand other reasons to stop, look them in the eye and say I'm Stronger than you. Week 6 onwards, it was becoming more and more daunting every day, but I had a burning desire and determination and I didn't want to succumb to my pains. Your spirit is bigger than any pain. Keep on running! God bless us all!
  2. Awesome job brother. I'm also about to finish my 5k on April 27! You are right it is action which matter and only we can do it. Congrats on your inspiring achievement.
  3. Well you have taken the first step, now you don't stop. It requires patience, will and discipline. And most importantly enjoy it, love it. If it's a burden in your head, it will never happen. All the best!
  4. Started the 5k program in last week of feb. Never been a runner. Used to look at Week 5 day 3 and wonder how on earth I'm ever gonna do it. Somebody might have to pick me up after I fall on the ground out of breath. Lol. Here I am having nailed it smooth as ever. Running faster than I used to - average pace of 9 minutes per km. now looking forward to finishing 5k in three weeks time and then running in an actual 5k. Thanks C25k. I never believed these fitness apps worked. But yeah now I can vouch for it!
  5. Thanks so much for your encouraging words. I feel I'm running better than I used to. I read up about the proper form on the internet, which surely helped. As for speed, honestly I'm not targeting a faster run but on being steady and completing the run. I run at around 5-6 km per hour, sometimes peaking to 8. I don't know if that's fast enough but it surely feels good to me. My calves and thighs have become stronger and shaped up and I feel a stronger runner than I was before I started. Overall I feel I'm progressing and that's good for me. As for my wife, we don't run together but on alternate days. This is because we are 3 weeks apart in the schedule. She runs and I do my yoga and vice versa. Only when she begins to feel she can't run anymore I start running with her to egg her on.
  6. Hello there, I am Mukul from India. I've never been a runner in my life, had a certain phobia for it although I did play sports as a kid but never really into running. Now I'm 33 and weigh above a 100 kgs, though I'm above six feet in height. I desperately want to lose weight around my stomach as I do not want to end up being a bp/diabeties patient ever. This is why I downloaded this app about a month ago and I'm so v glad I did. Today iv entered into my 4th week, day 1 and every new week iv surprised myself with the way I've stepped up. Now I'm all excited to keep going and become a 5k runner. In fact now I've pushed my wife into it and she's about to complete her first week. Cheers!
