  1. Hi all. Last year I tried to start running. I started off very slow and was able to do 5 laps. Then I had to put running off for a bit. I have decided to do a 5k this year so will start back up trying to run. MY problems with running are this: I can only get to 5 or 6 Lap and then my body shuts down. I also get side stitches and my neck hurts. I have tried to control my breathing and keep my arms at a good position but I still get stitches and the neck pain and I can't get past lap 6. Can someone please help me as I know I am doing something wrong. Also is it bad to eat before you run? I really want to do a 5k so I can prove to myself that I can do this. Anyone have any thoughts? Thank you
