  1. Background: played softball for 12 years. Sprained my ankle and ignored it to keep playing. Finally got it checked after it randomly rolled for 3 years-torn ligament. Couldn't afford surgery. Went another 2 1/2 years with it increasingly getting worse and just rolling/respraining before I finally got the surgery. Now, 5 years, 3 kids and a ton of weight gain later I'm ready to get back into working out to better myself. I am over weight and don't want to be anymore. I started two weeks ago with walking on the treadmill at the gym. Once I was comfortable and in a good routine there I added this program to do at home in the mornings. I was on week 1 day 2 yesterday and my left ankle sprained!! How long until you restart the program? What would you do to avoid this in future? It's a bad sprain. And I was doing it indoors on a flat surface.
