  1. I started doing the barefoot thing a few years ago, but this is the first time I've run. So far I'm doing well. My shins were sore when I first started, so I did a couple of extra week 1 workouts with lots of rest in between days. I'm only doing 2 runs a week barefoot. I'm trying to find more grassy places to run, but xeroscaping seems to be taking over. Anyone have any tips or tricks for someone just starting out?
  2. Start with this program and start working your way up in amount of time running without stopping. Also, do some sprints. They'll help build the muscle you need to run faster.
