Starting half marathon training on Monday, to get ready to run my first race of that distance a month before 50th birthday. Have finished a couple of 5k events. Not fast, definitely a jogger not a runner lol.
Mostly doing this to prove to myself that I can. I don't love jogging but I should be able to be proficient at it. I enjoy doing a variety of activities, which currently include yoga, Zumba, boxing, TRX, and jogging.
I think my biggest challenge right now is going to be the heat and/or working around afternoon thunderstorms. I will do just about anything to avoid jogging on a treadmill, even endure the scorching humid Florida outdoors.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to checking out the forums and knowing I'm not alone in this journey.
