  1. One thing I did notice with getting back into the groove was it seem to be a lot easier to accomplish ,the days that I went back, on a treadmill then by running outside. That concerns me for when I do run my first 5k
  2. Sounds good. I'll start there?
  3. Hello friends!! I'm a 39 year old male that is ready to make a difference in my life. I am 6 foot, 265 and its time to change that. I am not looking for a quick fix and I know that this is a marathon for my life, not a sprint. I know that this is not about making just a change as much is its making a lifestyle change. I'm on week 5 at the moment and have to say that I never thought that I would ever be able to run 8 minutes straight, but I can. Only thing is that I missed a week due to vacation and have found it very tough to pick up where I left off. I'm so ready to look and feel better and I look forward to running my first 5k and working my way to a 10k. My support is amazing. My wife is a wonderful person who is in good shape and is doing this workout with me when she can. I have my parents coming out and running my first 5k with me. I'm can't explain how ready I am to see myself in a year. I look forward to seeing all the stories on here and telling mine as I go along this journey!! Jason
  4. I missed a week while on vacation. No excuses, just got lazy and very concerned about running at altitude. (Vacay in CO). I tried to pick up where I left off. I left off at my first run of 20 minutes and couldn't do anything close to that. Question is at what point should I start back? Week 5, day 1, week 4 day 1? Just trying to find the best way to get back into the grove of things. Thanks!! Jason
