  1. Hi, I'm Shannon. I will be 45 in 3 days. I've been a runner but I can't seem to stay consistent with a workout program. That keeps my weight and stress levels on a constant yo-yo. Anybody that can send encouragement or success tips would be appreciated!
  2. Take it slow and definitely make sure you have the right equipment. I started running at 38 and it's the best thing I ever did. At first, I had knee pain, swollen knees and ankle pain but I stuck with it and have never been sorry. Don't focus on how fast you ar, just congratulate yourself for getting it done! Also...music helps. Make a playlist of your favorite upbeat songs and let it motivate you.
