I thought it was odd too that there was a time limit. My sister said that she has come across a few races like that. I'm only running at 14-15 minutes right now. I've been focusing on completing the program's daily requirements instead of speed. I was thinking that I could work on speed after I finished the program. As a preteen I could run a 6.5 minute mile, but 30 years later and about 70lbs heavier than I should be, not even close! So I feel you on speed! Thanks for your reply. I might wait until the last minute to sign up, so I can time a few practice runs first.
