  1. Hi Kmb- I can relate to your post. I am about to turn 54 and am 50 pounds overweight. I am completing my third week feeling good about that but also feeling somewhat discouraged that the area below both knees has started hurting only while running. Could be several things like shoes, gait, weight. I'm telling myself I've been on the couch for way too long so the pain will subside (hopefully) when I get stronger and the pounds fall off. Best of luck to you.
  2. Hi TrishE, Thanks for responding, I appreciate it. My original post was Dec 13 and there were a couple of replies as well.
  3. The first day I started C25K I made an introductory post. I was excited to begin my new journey! Now I went looking for it because I wanted to update my status, for some reason it was deleted. There was nothing in its content that was spam or anything off topic. Moderator, please advise.
  4. I can relate to this topic. I am 50 + pounds overweight. I decided two weeks ago by reading about an upcoming 5K in February that I was going to "do it". Just like that I made my mind up. I searched for an app and this one was right up my alley as I had been permanently stuck to the couch. I just completed W2 today and words cannot describe how excited I am. One foot in front of the other at your own pace not any one else's. Good luck to you my friend!
  5. Hello, I was wondering how most people do the training. I am on my first week and I see there are 3 workout per week. I had planned on training every other day but that would mean starting week 2 before a full calendar week had past. Do most people just start a new week or take 2 days off. Thanks for the help.
  6. Good luck to you keep It up. I read an article that said to slow down your breathing and heart rate to breathe in and out through your nose. I did this today and it really helped me.
