  1. Hey everyone! So marshall and I hit a little bump in the road over the holidays and didn't run because we were both traveling and with our families but we got right back into it and just finished week 5 day 2! This was one of the hardest days yet. I believe it was two 8 minute runs with 3 minute walks. Near the end of the second run we were barely hanging on but we finished without stopping. This has been one of the few times I thought realistically we might actually be able to finish this program. I only say that because we have tried and failed to be active a few other times with gym memberships and diets and whatnot. However, this has been different. We have both agreed we want to move on to the 10k app. I'm really proud of us! This has become a REAL habit and something we enjoy doing together. I love cheering him on and vice versa. Not to mention it truly is QUALITY time together; working on our health and having no distractions like phones or television. Hope all is well with everyone else!
  2. Hello all! I'm Rachel and my boyfriends name is Marshall. I've got about 30 pounds to lose and my boyfriend wants to get in better shape too. We just finished week 1! Woohoo! We are not fitness people by any means. We lead pretty inactive lifestyles and we eat pretty much whatever we want. Since we started dated Marshall has had ups and downs as far as weight but mine has done nothing but go up. A few years ago I went through a rough time and gained a lot of weight. At my biggest I was 5'7" and 180 pounds. Right now I'm 170. Hitting the 170 mark after spending years in the 160s has really motivated me to lose weight. In addition to the C25k app I'm also doing the sit-up and push up challenges, eating fewer carbs and fatty things, smaller portions, and also going to a health and wellness clinic where I'll be getting b12 and fat burner shots once a week. Here's to hoping I can lose the weight and feel like myself again!
