I had a friend who loved to run and would always try to get me to run with him but I couldn't run more than a half mile so I'd always blow it off. My friend passed away very suddenly last month and I've started using this app to build up to running at least a 5k in his honor.
My heart is breaking but I'm on week 3 and I ran/walked 3.5 miles in 43 minutes. It's still slow and there's still a lot of walking and many tears but I wanted to say thank you for this app that lets me go at my own pace, building upon the previous week's to help me reach my goal.
I miss him but running is cathartic and I'm losing weight too so again, thank you and good luck to everyone with their goals and accomplishments.
