  1. The past is the past and you cannot change it. But you can control your attitude about running now. Run for you and run for your future health and well being. Listen to music, work out probelms in your head, enjoy the great outdoors, and get buzzed with the knowledge that you are taking charge of your physical and mental health. It does not matter if you run slow or if you have to repeat a week. You are still faster and farther ahead than the person sitting on the couch. And at the end of the day, the only person you have to satisfy is yourself.
  2. At age 54, I was truly a couch potato and I could honestly say that I had never been a runner. I began C25K in April and I not only completed the program on time but I have competed in two 5K races! I am still running 3 times a week and 3 miles each run while I am working on improving my pace. My running partner and I are waiting for the heat of the summer pass before we run another race because August in Kansas is HOT. I cannot say enough good things about C25K. It has changed my life for the better and helped me to become slimmer, more confident, more fit, and I have a lot more energy.
