Hi,

I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis which is the autoimmune hypothyroidism.  I have been on synthroid for at least 10 years and started C25K last summer.  I had to stop due to plantar fasciitis and tendonitis, however, before taking a break, I did lose some weight, but definitely toned up...and felt better.  Not so sluggish.

Good luck.

Nancy

I'm new to this but I have hypothyroid hasimoto s the autoimmune kind. I've found the only thing that help me lose weight was going gluten free. My Dr. Explained that people with the autoimmune kind are allergic to something.... And yoga and walking are the best thing for hypo- thyroid problems. Hardc ore work out stress the body and make it hard to lose weight hope this helps

I have hypothyrod too, and if you are having your Eutirox pill in the appropiate dose, there shouldnt be a reason not to loose weight, my nutrition doctor told me that, before i used to think i could not loose weight! And with my nutritionist and a very little of exercise (i also have lupus, so i cannot exceed with exercise) i lost 7 kgs in 3 months, eating lots of healthy food! So forget about your condition, just have your meds and you are perfectly fine!
