I need motivation and someone to kick my ass! I always start off great and the die down in a week when I "get a better offer" like sitting on the couch w my iPad!!! I am 41, 4 kids, 6 pets including a horse that I need to ride, and work full time!!

Add each other on MFP to help each other. We can all motivate each other here. I've been working out more indoors lately but I'm doing great. I've been doing carb cycling and I hopemit kickstarts it. Hey Jen. Let's do this. I'll motivate Ya.

Welcome here,  Stubborn, your name makes me chuckle, My Dads nickname was Stubby as he was stubborn and hard headed, so his siblings called him Stubby.  Why are you named Stubborn?  I love it.

 

We can all motivate each other on here.  I need someone to kick my own butt, lol..     I am on Week 5 Day 2 and stuck in the 10k app.   I must repeat it.  Or get more motivated though.

That name just sounded fitting. Most of the people I know tell me that 's how I am. Had a friend get me into running and I'm glad I did. And you are right we can all motivate each other. Cause right now I'm needing it pretty bad.

Hi, I am swannydog66, add me if you'd like. Day one for me today. Have been working on increasing my ability to 'run' my full 2-mile workout for some time, but the farthest I have come is 1 mile. So, hope to learn tips/tricks here. Last week I injured my knee while 'pushing' too hard to shave time off, so I'm bummed! I will work through it, but may be slow out of the gate!

Guest_Jen_*, I also need motivation, the couch/tv iPad are definitely a distraction for this 48 year old. I made a commitment to myself earlier tjis year to get healthier, and have been trying to get Sr least a 2-mile walk in 5x a week. Earlier this spring I decided to add 'jogging' to my walking routine. Never been a runner, so I am still struggling. I did do a 5K over the summer, but was not able to 'run' the entire thing, so I am hoping this app will be a saving grace!

If you are wondering where I went on MFP, I've deleted it. I've decided that with everything I do, putting in my food all day is taking up too much time for me. Every minute counts and those are minutes I wont get back anymore. Lol. I've been inputting for years and I'm so burned out tracking all those stupid calories. Lol

 

So I'm doing the 4 Hour Body Diet with my hubby. It's what works great and I love it. I am Paleo girl through and through but the 4 Hour one works amazing too.

Hey Shannon's,

 

Go to MFP App, click top left and it will take you where it says, Home, Diary, etc.., scroll down to Friends , click, you should then see, News. Friends. Requests, click friends, you should then see a person emoticon top right corner, then go down to email and you can add our user names there. Try mine, kellyannbarr1. Then I will add you. It should work.

Hi all, Vicki here....I'm on day three of week one but didn't realize I was to do every other day...sigh....it felt good to get back into running....never was really fast or could do more than a mile at a time...after day three I'm at 1.84 miles feels pretty good!!

RIGHT ON! And way to go! You did three days in a row! You're done for the week - if you choose to be done that is.  I am still looking forward to day three.  I have a tendency to go whole hog, and then some, once I commit. Like you, I was committed to every day until I realized it was 3 days a week.  I'm thankful for the rest days.  In between days, I've decided to work on my tummy. It needs a bit of TLC too!   Excited for you!  CHEERS!
